Voting
Voting For City Of Plato Residents
The City of Plato changed to a mail-in-ballot format for elections in 2016. This means that each registered voter in the City of Plato will receive his/her ballot in the mail 3-4 weeks prior to the election. There will no longer be a physical polling location for residents in the City of Plato. If you wish to vote at a physical location, you can do so at the County Office in Glencoe (please bring the ballot you received in the mail). In-person voting can be done at this location during the seven (7) days prior to the election.
The mail-in ballot system is very easy and convenient. There will be a step-by-step instruction sheet included with the ballot.
In order to receive a ballot in the mail, you must be a registered voter for the City of Plato.
To become a registered voter, you need to complete and submit a Minnesota Voter Registration Application. Applications can be obtained at the Plato City Office or the McLeod County Auditor-Treasurer Office. Or you can register online at www.mnvotes.sos.mn.gov
