City Clerk

The Clerk serves as the link between Council and citizens as well as between the Manager and employees.

The Office of Clerk for the City of Plato provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the Council and the Manager. In addition, this individual performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law. Below are just a few of the responsibilities of the City of Plato Clerk.

  • Grants parade permits
  • Grants street closures
  • Manages requests to speak to Council
  • Collects information and prepares Council agendas and other information for Council
  • Collects, organizes, and maintains records
  • Records and submits Council meeting minutes

City Office Hours:
Posted office hours: Tuesdays 9:00am to 12:00pm
Thursdays 4:00pm to 7:00pm

The Clerk is in the office more hours than posted, but those hours vary.
The Plato City Office is a one-person office. There are times when the Clerk is out of the office
due to meetings, conferences and other city business matters. If you need to stop into City Hall,
please call ahead to confirm it is open.
